| Nice to inform everybody that past eruption of the Tungurahua Volcano looks like is coming to end. Roads are being opened to traffic and people is returning to home, slowly. Just ask for any help to travel safe to this mega-biodiversity country. |

Hi momopeho,
i plan a trip in ecuador next April, ad of course i'd like to see the Tungurahua Volcano, this will be possible ?
Do you know any cheap place to stay near the Volcano ?

Government says all roads will be fully opened at mid december this year so april looks like a good date to come to look at.
Regarding accommodation I think the best is to go to Banos were is a lot of possibilities from very cheap hostel to standard hotels. Some information you will find at: http://momopeho.tripod.com/ecuadorservices/id29.html
